CIT Server Farm
The CIT Server Farm, located in the Rhodes Hall and CCC machine rooms, provides a secure environment for housing servers. There are currently more than 700 servers in the Server Farm.
Standard service in the Server Farm includes:
- 24-hour system monitoring, basic level troubleshooting, system rebooting, and System Administrator notification as needed
- Network connectivity
- Environmental systems (heat, cooling, humidity)
- Uninterruptible power with generator backup
The CIT Server Farm offers both colocation and managed machine services.
Colocation
For colocation servers, the services listed above are included. Customers are responsible for all other aspects of owning, securing, and maintaining the machine.- What Will Colocation Cost?

Colocation Registration Forms
Managed Servers
Most of the servers in the Server Farm are managed by the Systems Support group. Customers can establish Service Agreements with the Systems Support Group for systems administration support of Sun Solaris, Windows, and Red Hat Linux servers housed in the Server Farm.
