I'm using AOL as my Internet Service Provider and CUWebLogin Doesn't Work

Some Internet Service Providers that offer a complete package of tools for Internet access, including AOL (America On Line) and CompuServe, provide their own web browser that may not be compatible with applications like CUWebLogin. The solution is to avoid using AOL's web browser and instead use the web browser supplied with your computer's operating system; computers running Microsoft Windows, for example, come with Internet Explorer built in.

More details on this problem: The mechanism AOL uses for assigning you an Internet Protocol (IP) address causes CUWebLogin to think that web credentials previously established with CUWebLogin are no longer valid. This can lead to behavior where you may be able to authenticate initially, but future attempts to use your credentials (such as submitting a form after initially providing your NetID and Password to get to that form) may fail. If you see this type of behavior, switch to using Internet Explorer (or another web browser of your choice, such as Opera or Firefox) instead of AOL's web browser.

After Authenticating with CUWebLogin I Receive a Web Server Error

If, after authenticating with CUWebLogin, you receive an error message such as "Page cannot be displayed", "Internal Server Error" or "Document Contains No Data", this indicates a problem on the web server you are trying to communicate with. Please contact the web administrator for that web server with the details of what you were trying to do. If you cannot contact that site's web administrator, or you do not know who the web administrator is, please let cuweblogin-admin know about the problem.

I'm Experiencing Some Other Problem...

If you are experiencing a problem not covered here, please see the page on specific CUWebLogin error messages. Also feel free to email the details to helpdesk@cornell.edu.
