Getting Started with uPortal.Cornell:
What is a portal?

A portal is a web site that's designed to serve as a jumping-off point to help you locate all kinds of information and services on the Internet. uPortal.Cornell is Cornell's new portal. Many portals, including uPortal.Cornell, are customizable, so you can rearrange the view for easier access to the items you use most often, and minimize or remove items you don't need. To get you started, Cornell's portal has been set up with links to a variety of topics and tools that many people find useful.

uPortal.Cornell also has the ability to launch online applications, such as COLTS or Just the Facts, directly from a web browser window. To try this, scroll up to the top of the portal window and click on the tab labeled "Bear Access."

uPortal.Cornell offers in one place the capabilities of both CUinfo and Bear Access.
