Cornell Information Technologies supports several ways for you to access your email.

Cmail
(for students)

Cmail is Cornell's email, calendar, and collaboration service for students, available since April 2009. It is powered by Google Apps Education Edition. New students, and students who have switched to Cmail, cannot use WebMail or the uPortal Email Channel.

Thunderbird

On your "home-base" computer, we recommend you use Thunderbird, which has all the features and tools you need manage your email communication.

Eudora

We continue to offer Eudora, which has been popular at Cornell for several years, but whose development seems to be lagging. Unless you're already using Eudora, Thunderbird is probably a better choice, especially if you're using IMAP. (What's IMAP and what's my other choice?)

uPortal.Cornell
Email Channel

WebMail and uPortal.Cornell are web-based solutions, which means you don't need to install any software to use them. This is useful when you are using a public computer, or borrowing a friend's to check your email.

WebMail

All CIT-supported email clients work on both Windows and Macintosh computers.
