This modern operating system is required for late-2001 hardware, such as the QuickSilver Power Mac G4 hardware and the PowerBook G4 models. Mac OS 9.2 may work better in Classic than Mac OS 9.1. Mac OS 9.2 is required for use in Classic under Mac OS X 10.1 or later.

Comments:

This product is probably not the last Mac OS 9 release. Mac OS 9.2 may be too slow on early PowerPC machines.
