Checklist

Use this checklist throughout Project Planning (High Level) to help ensure that all requirements of the phase are met. As each item is completed, indicate its completion date. Use the Comments column to add information that may be helpful to you as you proceed through the project.

Determine if there will be a need for a Procurement Plan and document the approach

 

 

Develop how the Project will manage and organize for the  Transition to steady state

 

 

Describe the approach  to be used for Gathering Customer Requirements

 

 

Document how Status Reporting will be done and who will receive reports and in what format

 

 

Create High Level Risk Plan

 

 

Solicit input on risk identification from Project Team, Project Sponsor and Customer Representatives

 

 

List all risks identified and Impact to Project

 

 

Provide a risk rating

 

 

Develop a risk mitigation strategy

 

 

Identify the Risk Owner and the date Risk Plan is to be implemented

 

 

Produce the Project Initiation Plan

 

 

Confirm Approval to Proceed to Next Phase

 

 

Submit the Project Initiation Plan for Review

 

 

Present final Project Initiation plan to Project Sponsor and/or Project Director  etc.

 

 

Resolve any issues    

 

 

Update package as needed to resubmit to Project Sponsor and/or Project Director and other Key Stakeholders providing resources to the project that need to provide their signature.
